The Wash
- Inside Out: Protects the outer design and cleans the inside thoroughly.
- Cold Water Only: Keep temps below 86°F (30°C) to prevent shrinking.
- Mesh Bag Friendly: Highly recommended to prevent stretching in the wash.
The Dry
- Air Dry Preferred: Lay flat in the shade to maintain perfect elasticity.
- Tumble Dry Low: Safe to use on the lowest heat setting if you're in a hurry.
- No High Heat: Extreme heat ruins spandex and shrinks cotton fibers.
The Storage
- Fold, Don't Ball: Gently fold in half or thirds to keep the cuff tight.
- Avoid Stretching: Rolling bands over each other destroys ankle tension.
Part 02
Wool, Cashmere & Specialty Yarns
Natural animal fibers and specialty yarns require a gentler touch. Follow these strict rules to prevent felting, shrinking, and damage to your most luxurious pairs.
Gentle Wash
- Hand Wash Preferred: Submerge in cold water and gently massage.
- Machine Delicate: If using a machine, use the 'Wool' or 'Delicate' cycle only.
- Special Detergent: Use a mild, wool-safe detergent (no harsh enzymes).
Strict Air Dry
- Lay Flat on a Towel: Gently press out water (do not wring) and dry flat.
- NEVER Tumble Dry: Machine drying will permanently shrink and ruin wool.
- Avoid Hanging: Hanging wet wool causes it to stretch out of shape.
Safe Storage
- Clean Before Storing: Moths are attracted to body oils. Always store clean.
- Cedar Blocks: Use cedar wood in your drawer as a natural moth repellent.
💡 Universal Pro Tip: Skip the Fabric Softener & Bleach
Regardless of the material, fabric softeners coat yarns with a waxy residue that reduces breathability and breaks down elastic over time. Bleach will severely weaken the fibers. Stick to a gentle, premium detergent for the best results.
